New User with some questions

I just installed and moved over from another privacy based OS. Already backed up anything important, but I have some questions.

How do you recommend I install new apps? Just through the Google Play Sandbox or a different launcher? Last one I used was Aurora Store for most things, is this still recommended? I have a small handful of apps through F-Droid but not all of them are available through that.
User Profiles - Would this be a way to keep my work apps separate but still be able to see/use them when on my main profile or what would be the recommended way for this?

If you're going to use Google play services, then you should install apps from the play store. Aurora store and F-droid are not recommended for security reasons.

Yes, that is reasonable. "Private space" is what you're looking for in your case

I don't plan on using Google services as much as possible. Other than banking apps and work apps, everything else (Signal, and other apps I can get without using Google/Google Services, I'm looking for alternatives for that. What security reasons are F-Droid and Aurora not recommended?

Aurora has been debated ad nauseam on this forum, like in this thread where there is a lot more information that explains the issues with Aurora:

But the bottom line is that historically, Aurora has been very inconsistent with implementing security features when communicating with the Play Store, and for me at least, does not inspire confidence that the developers even care about that to begin with.
