pit2p I’m experiencing massive battery drain p9p around 70% due to the mobile network, so I decided to disable 4G calls (volte) in the settings. Now there’s signal when I try to call my own number but I don’t receive any notification at all—I can’t make calls either. Can anyone else test this?
Grapi pit2p Try using LTE (not "LTE only") and enable all features like VoLTE and monitor more days whether it helps. 5G (especially 5G NSA) is known for high battery consumption.
n3t_admin pit2p this sounds like VoLTE is not enabled on the backend. You might need to check with your carrier if it is actually enabled. It sounds like the battery drain comes from registration attempts.
Berlino Activate VoLTE for calls again and see if your SIM card is registered for IMS service: Check settings -> About phone -> SIM status and scroll down to end. If not registered for IMS then check your APN settings -> submenu APN type -> option 'IMS'.
Oggyo Then it doesn't switch down to 3G for calls. Maybe you have no 3G in your area, or your operator doesn't support it. You can experiment with allowing 2G, I mean, turning off 2G network protection.
Oggyo Grapi and enable all features like VoLTE They explicitly disabled VoLTE and are looking for a solution re. missled calls currently.
Oggyo Grapi Yes, but during their troubleshooting steps, they decided to temporarily switch off the VoLTE, and (as I wrote "currently") they are looking for the missed calls issue, like not falling back to 3G to serve the calls when no problem with data.
