Unable to delete certain files File Manager

I downloaded some rar files with Brave browser but I think they failed. For some reason a 0 bytes json file was created for each download. I tried to delete them from my Downloads directory, it asks me if I want to delete the file, I say yes then the app says deleting but the files are not removed. I tried clearing the cache of the GOS Files file manager and I I tried to reboot but they can't be removed. I also tried to install Material Files but that file manager does not show the files. I don't know how I can get rid of the files. It behaves like it is malware, I don't know how to get rid of them

FOSSOS Wait a few days and they will likely disappear. This is an old bug, difficult to reproduce, so it hasn't been fixed.

I was about to install termux to try and remove them by force because I see them in the GrapheneOS file manager but I can't get them to show up in file picker or any other file manager (even with the special permission access to all files). Feeling like you don't have control over files in a general directory such as your Download directory is scary when you know you're using GrapheneOS and makes you think of malware, even if that is very unlikely to be the case

Several days have passed, Brave has had an update and I have rebooted several times but the file have not disappeared. Two files have even been duplicated with the exact same name as another json file, one of them even has three duplications (which should not even be impossible because two files can't share an exact name). I still can't delete them and can only see them in GOS file manager. I don't know how to remove them.
I did an Auditor check and it showed a green background as always.

Maybe try force stopping File Manager, then clear storage.

BeepBeep I have force stopped GOS File Manager several times, cleared cache and storage files and I tried to force stop Brave and clear the cache but none of that helped. I permanently have 2 JSON files, one with a duplicate and the other with two duplicates, making a total of 5 JSON files, in the Downloads directory of my file manager. They don't have timestamps and are 0 bytes so they always show up at the top. If I select them there are no options to share, cut, copy or move them to another directory. I can only delete them (which doesn't work) or check the info of the files.

This has resolved itself. It happened once again afterwards, this time with a different file, but the ghost files eventually disappeared as suddenly as they appeared.

At present that appears to be the situation. If it happened more frequently perhaps somebody could debug it.
