Hi,
Is there known issues with push notifications on X (Twitter) when phone is locked? On my last OS install I used X as PWA via Vanadium, notifications worked perfectly while phone was unlocked. But when phone is locked and in idle state for like 5-10min, no more notifications or very inconsistent ones. As soon as I unlock, all notifications are pushed at the same time. Google Play Services + Store were installed and battery set to unrestricted. Vanadium was also in unrestricted mode.
To test if I screwed up with my previous config, I factory reset GrapheneOS then:
- Install Play Services via native GrapheneOS app store
- Set battery to unrestricted for Play Services
- Install Obtainium via apk on Github
- Install Mullvad via Obtainium
- Install X app this time via Play store (instead of the PWA)
- Enable push notifications for X app + set battery to unrestricted
- Play Integrity is used (didn't touch anything here)
- Reboot
I get the same result... Instant notifications when unlocked and inconsistent ones when locked. This is frustrating but I suspect issues with this specific app because other app notifications are working better.
I plan to go back with the PWA as the notifications behavior is exactly the same, and I love PWA's :)
Is there any changes I can do in the settings to fix this notifications behavior? Or it's an issue related to X (Twitter) and we can't do anything about it?
Thank you.
