I've upgraded from a Pixel 7a to a Pixel 9 Pro and have run into an issue where contact syncing doesn't appear to be working. Google Fi has an option to only receive calls or texts from your phone contacts which worked on the 7a but when selecting the option on the 9 Pro it switches back to the last known option "Block known spam" instead.
While trying to select the option it prompts to turn on contact syncing and then opens the contact settings. I enable the switch to "Sync device and SIM contacts automatically" and select the Google Fi account but when going back to the overview it just switches back / away from the option. I've enabled contact permissions for the Google Fi and services apps without any success. Has anyone run across this before or have any ideas?
