Hi,
I downloaded the 1 password from GPS and the icon is silver. When I download or update from aurora it is blue. Why is that? Aren't GPS and Aurora apps suppose to be identical ?

Thanks and sorry I am a newbie in this world of degoogled phones

Hi there! It's possible that 1Password changed its icon from one version to the next. Aurora Store doesn't always download the same version as the one you'd get on the Play Store, since Play Store does staged rollouts for apps (where a specific % of people get the new version, instead of all of them at once).

Another possible reason for the difference in icon is that you perhaps had themed icons enabled in one of those two times.

If you could provide me with a screenshot of what the two icons looked like, I can do some testing on my end and confirm that for you.

matchboxbananasynergy thank you for the reply. The blue icon is either when i download the app from Aurora or if I download the app from GPS and then update the app via Aurora. If i only download the app from GPS it is the Silver version. in both cases it is always 1 password 8.....I am not managing to attach a screenshot here

Nognohnoh Thanks, check the versions of these two apps and let me know if they are the same or different.

Also, are they the same app IDs? You can go to Settings > Apps and find 1Password, click on it and scroll down to see an app ID that will look like "com.onepassword.android", is it the same for both variants?

matchboxbananasynergy indeed they seem different. The Aurora Store one is version 8.9.12 and the App ID is com.onepassword.android version code 80912004
The one from the GPS is version 8.9.10 and App ID is com. one password.android version code 80910043
