Dragon Well, from an iOS user - here's some thoughts:
You will definitely find more comfort when using iOS. There are less hiccups, no Play Integrity BS, tap-to-pay and that sort of stuff.
On the other hand, you will have way less control over your system. Say goodbye to disabling apps or stopping IPC by using different profiles. No more exploit protections, way less FOSS apps, no more on-device firewalls.
All the hardening you can do is basically dictated by Apple. It's not catastrophic for sure, but it's way worse than what GOS offers even out of the box. You are also dependent on iCloud for many features as there's not really an alternative.
I think using iOS is okay if you don't have a sophisticated threat model. If you care about combatting mass surveillance or targeted ads, you're SOL on iOS - simple as that.
