Getting a Pixel 10 and waiting for GOS?

Hi there,

I never owned a Google Pixel phone and I'd like to get the last one. Is it worth it to switch my actual Samsung phone for a Pixel 10 for a privacy and security standpoint?

I use mainly trustworthy open-source apps and I plan to install GrapheneOS when/if it will be available on this phone.

It is worth it to switch to a Pixel and GrapheneOS with no doubt. Should it be 10th gen or older is up to your wallet.

We've received the Pixel 10 we ordered and have confirmed it supports unlocking, flashing another verified boot key and locking again.

Our Pixel 10 support will likely only be possible to complete after we finish porting to Android 16 QPR1 which is being released in September.

I'm using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6a (yes, I know its an old phone) and I love it. I had a Motorola phone before running stock Android and it was junk. GrapheneOS is 100% worth the switch :)

I got a brand new, non refurbished, Pixel 9 two weeks ago for half the price of a Pixel 10. You might be better off with a Pixel 9 if the price is right.

I preordered my P10Pxl and just got it. I won't use it until GOS is ready though.

It all depends on you want to spend the money already or just wait. Or maybe buy an older one as others already suggested.

You get P8P for extremely good prices nowadays. Could be an option if you're fine with an older phone that still gets support until 2030.
