Phone App is wonky...

Pixel 7 - I have looked through this chat and I see that others are having trouble with the phone app - here is what's happening to me... - I am having an issue with the stock phone app that came with Graphene OS as well as I have also tried the fossify phone app - where I will "lose" the phone call while I am talking - if I send a text - if I try to come back to the phone call, I can't find that screen - or sometimes the call will switch from speaker to earpiece and I can't find the screen to switch it back. Sometimes the phone will ring and the phone app screen won't come up so I can't answer the phone. ...anyone?

I'm having similar issues on my Pixel 8. I've missed entire calls even though I hear it ringing but the app doesn't appear.

Lots of issues with this app since last update for myself. Pixel 8 pro. Phone not ringing then receive missed call notification. Might ring and then not answerable. A few calls will not go through that I am trying to make and the app will close itself after nothing happens.

I think allowing Phone app drawing over other apps and enabling fullscreen notifications should solve most issues. In any case you can always interact with the app by selecting it from recents screen or from its notification by pulling down notification shade.

DeletedUser495 - thanks first of all - are you suggesting to stick with the default phone app? Then - allowing Phone app drawing over other apps - what does this mean and or where do you set this? I do have fullscreen notifications on - but still these issues arise.

in2itiveart I am not exactly expert on Phone app since I don't use it all that often but I had similar issues with WhatsApp and Molly in not so long past and I dealt with it in similar fashion, no longer use WhatsApp but Molly works just fine and never had problem with Phone.

Long press Phone in app drawer, scroll down to Advanced > display over other app > Allowed.
