Ubiquiti Unifi Protect - Geofence not working?

Hola,
I had a productive day at work yesterday converting my phone over and had zero issues with any of my apps until I got home and noticed that Unifi Protect was only partially working. Zero of my other apps have issues.
For some reason, every part of Protect works, excluding the geofencing, which I have as a trigger for a number of rules. I've run through the general troubleshooting, but no joy there either, Protect itself still works, but the Geofencing just has a blank "loading" tile in it.

I had a search but could only find threads about push notifications not working from Protect, so is anyone running Protect and has Geofencing working, or is there a known workaround that I've missed?

are your location services working anywhere else (maps)? If no, could it be that you only have GPS but not network location enabled? On Graphene, the default state of location services is GPS-only and requires a mostly unobstructed view of the sky, if you're inside, this often renders as no position (/some default position at 0,0).
You can enable/disable network location in Settings -> Location -> Location Services -> Network location.

lynatic Location services work for everything else, yes.
Appreciate the info on the GPS side of things, I had a check and found the network location was using the Graphene Proxy, so no joy there.
While I was looking at it I noticed the Geocoder was set to off though, switching the Geocoder to the Graphene proxy fixed Protect instantly, it loaded my location against the fence and all my rules started behaving, so thanks for the help! :D

Now I just need to go read up on what that boils down to...

Unfortunately, I'm back to the drawing board.
Visually, it looks like the geofence is now working, while it triggers that I turned it on and selected my Pixel as its primary device for geofencing, identifying that at the time I was outside of it, it doesn't trigger me entering or leaving again unless I toggle the geofence itself on and off each time, and appears to push both updates if I'm away from the geofence when I toggle it.
This makes me think it's only checking once per toggle of the geofence itself in Protect and the phone isn't updating, which I have no idea how to resolve.
Currently I'm working around it by carrying my old phone with me to use the geofence through that, Ideally I'd like to not need to do that though.

Calesti from what I've read, I assume you have used the GOS location feature. Have you actually considered using Google Play Services as your location provider? They differ in implementation and Protect might be expecting Google Play location (reasonably so) for geofencing to work properly. I would give that a shot honestly.

You will need to give Play Services unrestricted battery usage permission if you haven't already.

n3t_admin Yeah, having the Play services battery set to restricted turns out to be the cause of the geofencing only activating when the toggle is used initially.
I forgot to post the update last night when I found it, setting it to unrestricted battery caused it to be able to correctly toggle the geofence rules when it saw I was in range.
