No keyboard to unlock after reboot.

After restarting the phone this morning, the (virtual) keyboard is no longer displayed. Therefore, I can't unlock the phone.

When I try to enter the password, the password entry screen disappears immediately. Rotating the screen has no effect. Rebooting into safe mode unfortunately doesn't help either.

Unfortunately, after rebooting into safe mode, the phone is also offline (before that, it was still automatically connected to Wi-Fi).

A USB keyboard doesn't help either. Bluetooth is disabled :-( The keyboard language was german. There is no 3rd party keyboard in use. sometimes i used a bluetooth keyboard, but in the moment bluetooth is disabled.

Anyone have any ideas?
I'm getting desperate.

is there a possible solution ? i mean without loosing all my data?

Try that not worked so far:

pressing 5 times power -> emergency call (call will started & device still enables 5G and WIFI connects to a open "Freifunk" , but no keyboard)

connect usb keyboard, before power on, while powering on (graphene os animation), bootloader
receive a phonecall (tried to unlock the microphone)
tried the above steps in "safe mode" as in "normalmode"

is a adb sideload downgrade an option?

as i mentioned, there was an update on 13. august ? could this broke my keyboard?

Nope i did not have this update. but i tried to install it via sideload -> it say success (return value 0) but it keeps 20250805...

One reason that I am of the opinion that for the Owner profile, GOS should force the use of its native keyboard. Regardless of user settings, preferences, or installed apps when in a BFU state.

Personally, I don't have any other keyboard installed & enabled in Owner to avoid this exact problem.

As for solutions, there aren't really any. Theoretically GOS could produce a "rescue build" that forces the native keyboard to work and you could sideload that but I doubt that is going to happen.

I basically agree with you, BFU-Mode should only use "native" Apps. That would be a security feature as well.
(OT: I am quite scared what is possible in BFU: Emergency-Phonecall [forces Cellbroadcast & Wifi enable also disables microphone blocking], receiving phonecalls, receiving sms [cant read], screenshots. at least the wifi-passes and certificates will be stored accessible in BFU)

I hoped it is possible to reset Native Keyboard-setting (or clear the APP-Cache) in BFU. But a new compiled Firmwareversion thats accept USB-Devices would be a solution ;-) but i am unable to give my build a valid signature

but it must be a bug: i didnt disabled the native keyboard. the last time i changed the options (except language and disabled autocorrection and suggestions) was month ago - and i have daily reboots
