How about creating a paid version of secure camera ?

The app have 5M+ downloads. A paid version could bring some important funds for the foundation and help the project itself a lot.

I think a good thing about the app being free is it helps spreads the word about GrapheneOS. People looking for a camera app come across that one and use it because it works very well and doesn't have annoying garbage like ads.

There are many free camera app already but can you really trust them all and feel safe while using them ?

The majority of those 5 million people will not pay for a camera app but a good amount of people could be interested.

As I said, I did not say to remove the free version so it won't stop the app to spread the word about GrapheneOS.

grayway2 those who want to support the project - already have the possibility. Cost/benefit is not in favor of such app-proxy for that I suppose

Oh wow, I actually never realized that GrapheneOS Camera (Secure Camera) was downloaded so many times from Play Store. That's awesome!

Instead of a paid version, I would rather hope that among the 5 Mio.+ people, there are some who appreciate Secure Camera's qualities with a donation and that in addition to that Secure Camera's popularity and publicity (reviews also look good) have an overall positive effect on GrapheneOS's reputation.
