silent notifications not separated anymore

usually notification categories can be customized to be silent and shown at the bottom of all notifications.
this is not working anymore since an update in the last months.

Please describe specifically what you are doing/seeing (or not seeing).

all notifications are grouped by app. silent notifications are supposed to be shown in their own area below the normal messages, where you can delete them all at once.

I have set almost all of my notifications to silent. Mine are in their own area, as always.

I don't recall that all silent notifications (from different apps) were ever grouped in a way where they could all be dismissed at once.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. A link to a screenshot might be helpful.

you can change this setting by holding a notification.

if it's a chat message i can set it as prioritized to show it at the top. this feature still works the opposite way and should help you see the difference.

What setting? I'm well aware how to make them silent. Or are you referring to some kind of grouping setting that I'm not aware of?

Is this somehow specific to chat messages?

I'm a heavy user of silent notifications, but not much of a chat user, so maybe that's why this isn't making sense to me.
