Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, so please be gentle. TL;DR at the end .
I'm having the following problem with my Android Auto:
I bought a CarPlay/Android Auto navigation module for my car. It worked perfectly when I was using stock Android.
With GrapheneOS, I'm having trouble getting it to "automatically" connect to CarPlay via Bluetooth. CarPlay keeps trying to connect, and my phone recognizes it, but the connection drops after less than a second. The only way it works is if I manually connect after I disable the "Auto Connect" feature.
Furthermore, there's an additional problem. I now have another Bluetooth connection that needs to be established through the navigation module. One is the Bluetooth interface of my car, where I play my music and make calls, and the other is Android Auto, which also has a function for audio/phonecall, but it doesn't work due to technical reasons.
That's why I wanted to disable both "Media audio" and "Phone calls" on the Android Auto Bluetooth device. Disabling media audio works, but phone calls can only be disabled after I've already connected to Android Auto. Once I've disabled the function, I have no chance of using it when I try to connect.
This is annoying because I suspect the Pixel remembers which Bluetooth device was last connected and therefore automatically forwards calls to the newest connected interfaces. This means that while driving, I always have to switch calls from Android Auto to the other Bluetooth speaker.
I've already tried working with automation apps (MacroDroid) to both trigger the connection to Android Auto and change the music playback, but I can't establish a Bluetooth connection through this apps either.
I hope I was able to explain my problem clearly and maybe someone can help me solve this. Thanks a lot in advance.
TL;DR
The Pixel doesn't accept a Bluetooth connection from Android Auto.
Only a manual connection is possible.
Automation apps also can't establish a Bluetooth connection.
Thank you guys in advance.
