Separate user profile + Tor + Vanadium?

I understand that the Tor browser is not completely secure, so I came up with this plan and would like to hear everyone's thoughts on it.

I believe that the only two points my threat model needs to address are:

Preventing adversaries from identifying and associating my other digital footprints.

Preventing adversaries from de-anonymizing me.

Using Tor with Vanadium will not be anonymous

Probably9857 I forgot to mention that I will only use Vanadium for this user, and Vanadium will only be used to log in and use accounts created on Tor, not for browsing websites.

Use Tor Browser and software specifically configured for Tor

Tor does not protect all of your computer's Internet traffic when you run it. Tor only protects applications that are properly configured to send their Internet traffic through Tor.

Web browsing:

Safe: Tor Browser
Unsafe: Any other browser configured to use Tor as a proxy

File sharing:

Safe: OnionShare
Unsafe: BitTorrent over Tor

Dumdum You shouldn't fully trust what they say. Tor Browser is not secure. There can be no privacy protection if something isn't secure first.

It is absolutely the case that using Tor with Vanadium will give you a very unique fingerprint. There is no perfect solution, only tradeoffs.

OP said anonymity was a high priority. Having a unique fingerprint is the opposite of that.

True, but I prefer Vanadium+TorVPN over Tor Browser. So I don't use Tor Browser at all. Alternatively, I use Briar's RSS/Atom, which retrieves data through its own Tor client.

YES! Security is more important (IMHO) than avoiding a couple of fingerprints.

Wow! Briar is very interesting! TU!! How does it compare in "quickness" and user comfort to other messaging apps? (Sigh...Too bad it's not available for IPhone.) TIA

newbie24689 Briar is P2P, so it's a battery drainer. Use it in emergency situations, such as when you don't have internet access or want to share information without internet access (it works over Bluetooth, offline via USB drives or locally on a Wi-Fi network). It would also be nice to have LoRa support in Briar.
