Yeah, I checked post history after my first reply and saw that.

I can understand being frustrated, but considering the problem they experienced it makes sense that they were upset. I didn't like the tone either, but I hope that if the problem is addressed then we can all move on without further trouble.

I am still having the issue of the background being dimmed when switching from one profile to another, even though "Modes" is off. I need to turn Modes on and off again to make the background normal brightness. Issue began in version 2025070800. Pixel 6a.

GrapheneOS maybe I'm dumb, but how do I do that? I thought debugging only works on owner profile. I created a brand new profile without a VPN. I can't access developer options on that profile to pair an app via wireless debugging. The closest thing was copying Shizuku app from owner profile. However Shizuku only shows that it is running when started in owner profile. The only option in the new profile is to stop it. When I stop it there are no options to pair or start Shizuku from the new profile. I can't test Automate because I'd need a way to pair it first.

In owner profile I can get Shizuku to detect wireless debugging by turning always-on VPN off.

Im on pixel 8, i think with this version my internet (wlan) became super slow somehow?

is this possible?

(with and without vpn it says on cloudflare speed test in wlan ~ 1 mbps, my laptop has in the same wlan, same place ~ 200-300 mbps)
(on mobile data it is as fast as i would exspect it to be, so i am talking about wlan)

dhhdjbd I've had this happen on my previous phone once in a while. Note it was on a samsung so not related to GOS and pixels at all, or perhaps a little as i believe the modem is exynos aswell. Nevertheless this is just a wild guess which not necessarly is the cause or solution to your issue, but on that samsung the solution was to reset bluetooth and WiFi. The cause probably was some issue on the 2.4ghz band.

On GOS i believe u can reset it by navigating to settings > system > reset options > reset bluetooth and WiFI.

I think it's obvious, but note this will reset all related to bluetooth and WiFi.

I want to reiterate this is a wild guess, but u might find it an option to try.

thank you, i tried it but my wlan speed is still very slow for sone reason.

Furthermore i updated afterwards to the new build 400, and the problem still persists...

but it sounds like this is more an issues with my device then the version somehow since noone else is experiencing it

dhhdjbd That's unfortunate, did u find yourself in a position yet to test it on another wlan? Is the behavior the same?

Does this occur on either 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands?

thank you,
i did not have another wlan network to try, so i tried the "guest" network of my router,
and i dont know how but this somehow fixed the issue (in both networks) (i turned guest network on in the router, so i guess this somehow reset/ changed something for the router idk)

(it is 2,4 ghz and i only "reconnected" in the router, but not like completly rebooted it, probably should have done that aswell)

so i guess it is some problem of this router
