Before switching to Graphene OS, I came across some comments from users claiming that if you enable the kill switch and use multiple profiles (for example, one profile with Mullvad on and another without), the profile without Mullvad would not be able to connect to the internet due to the kill switch.

This is not true. I just tested it, and everything works fine. The kill switch is enabled only within the profile that has it activated, and it does not affect the other profiles.

I think this is by design and its default behaviour. No surprises here, at least not for me.

Android VPN configuration is split up for each profile which means work profiles, Private Spaces and secondary users have their own VPN configuration which is a fantastic privacy feature.

These claims you have read are wrong, each user profile is distinct, using its own encryption key and own VPN configuration etc.

Wrong information.... In my usecase it works without any issues
