How to increase lock screen swipe sensitivity

I'm having a frustrating time opening my phone because when I swipe up on the lock screen it acts like it was accidental touch. Multiple times in a row. Had this with every Android phone and its super annoying. But I can't work out how to change it or even search the answer. Any ideas? Feels like trying to log into Windows 8 where its just "yeah I'm not letting you in until you do this weird awkward ritual"

TiggyTheTerrible do you use a screen protector? Maybe try turning on the Screen protector mode in Settings -> Display?

Have you ever tried it without a screen protector? If that works, it might be worth trying out a different screen protector.

I've been using Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for years and have never had any problems* with it (did'nt even have to enable screen protector mode).

*small caveat: I've been using the privacy screen protector of their line-up for some time now, and the fingerprint sensor sometimes doesn't work quite as well as with their non-privacy screen protectors.

Simply press on your fingerprint sensor. You don't need to have fingerprints stored, touching it without saved fingerprints slides up your lock screen and you can type in your pin or passcode.

This even works with extra glas protection. My glass protection prevents the sensor from reading, but it still detects that a finger was layed on and swipes up the lock screen automatically.

Murcielago I can confirm this, using the exact same screen protector and no issues with touch sensitivity whatsoever. Only once in a while indeed the fingerprint sensor doesn't work (like 1 in 50 times) at first try when my finger is 'dry' on the privacy variant, i believe this will be apparent on every privacy screen protector because the way it's constructed, probably even worse honestly from cheaper brands. (I do have a p9p with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, this 'issue' might be worse on older generarions using optical)
