I've been reading up on many good discussion threads here about how people have set up multiple user profiles. I won't rehash those discussions, but having read them, I had a few specific questions that I was hoping the community could answer.
QUESTION: If a secondary profile is given Call/SMS capabilities, then is it true that calls and SMS might land in different profiles (Owner or secondary, depending on the active profile)? Since calls need to be handled in situ, would they arrive only in the active profile? I suppose I could see a situation where SMS might land in both profiles since it is just a message that could be delivered to both, although that seems like it would be impractical for usability. I would appreciate some clarity on how this functions.
QUESTION: If I use Google Messages for RCS messaging, then it probably doesn't make sense to separate Google Play Services from my main profile, correct?
QUESTION: Many people isolate banking and financial apps in separate profiles. Why? I don't understand the benefit of isolating banking apps, unless it is for additional physical security by adding a second layer of authentication for these apps, which they typically already require upon launching the app anyway.
QUESTION: I like the idea of having a separate work profile, but it seems like a solution like Shelter would be more appropriate for someone who wants to be able to operate both simultaneously. Am I thinking about this correctly?
QUESTION: Does one need to authenticate to get back into Owner profile after logging out of secondary profile? For example, can I launch the Guest profile and hand my device to somebody without worrying that they will simply exit the Guest profile to see my Owner information?
Somebody described running Google Maps in a secondary profile without Google Play Services, but with Location enabled. QUESTION: How does one get Google Maps installed in a secondary profile without Google Play Services, when Google Play Services/Play Store is not in the Owner profile?
Thanks in advance to anybody who takes the time to read and respond to these questions.
