Screen looked like this for a few minutes before fixing itself

I could turn the screen on and off, and touching the screen seemed to affect the pattern in which the screen glitched out. But otherwise, I couldn't do anything. When the screen reverted back to normal, none of the screenshots I tried to take were saved. This happened once before, maybe a month ago, while I was using the zoom app - but only inside the app.
Any suggestions?

I'm afraid I agree. I suggest taking it to a repair shop for advice.

Looks similar to the lines on Pixel 8s with faulty screens however there the lines seem to stay permanently irrespectively of the app.

I have to disagree with y'all on this: it's a 120% hardware failure, not 100%.

I just sent my Pixel 8 to Google for repair because it showed me the green screen of death; pretty much identical to what your device displays at the end of that video, except it's green (I like the purple color better, though). It first occurred several months ago when I was browsing photos. It disappeared when I rebooted the device. It reappeared a few weeks ago, and flashing back to stock didn't fix it (didn't expect it to). Praying that it wasn't a hardware failure, I used DP Alt mode to upgrade to Android 16, and the green screen magically disappeared. Wow!!! It was fine for a couple of weeks, then a couple of days ago it reappeared. My Pixel 8 is eligible for a free screen replacement. Apparently it's a known issue. Hopefully Google won't complain that I dropped the device on stone a while ago (after the green screen first appeared, though).
