jeffcodes From my perspective, it is worth keeping because of the sandboxing and level of control you have over app access (storage scopes for example).
I don't really use those features, except for the fact that Google Play or other apps cannot update apps automatically unless they are the ones that installed them.
jeffcodes If you're going to protests, do not bring your phone. Get a burner. If you are going to bring your personal device, remove fingerprint unlock and use a password or pin, and keep it on airplane mode with all radios turned off (wifi, bluetooth, etc.).
This is good advice.
jeffcodes Regardless of GrapheneOS's security, you can be triangulated and identified by the device IMEI and cell towers, and connected WiFi AP's.
As for the connected WiFi AP's, this assumes that the phone does not randomize MAC address and that my country has backdoor access to every WiFi AP.
As for the other tracking options, yes it makes sense, but they still need to know the IMEI/my phone number.
