Thanks for the lists, I'll check them out for later if I do decide to switch, since GOS is going thorugh with that update too and for my use case a migration would have been good only if GOS avoided the forced update.
If I were to get a new phone however I for sure won't go with Google anymore, Pixel 7 is still way too expensive and I wouldn't want to risk having my battery crippled halfway through the life cycle.
DirtyDan Oh I wasn't aware of that, I could only gather that they were waiting to see how the update works, and personally it really ruined battery life for me. Was hoping they wouldn't go through with it.
If GrapheneOS will still push those updates then it's no use going through the hassle of switching over since I only use my phone for payments and banking apps. I'll just wait it out and go on GOS once this phone actually dies (most likely soon since Google is purposefully crippling it). I already had that setting on and I also never actually fully charged my phone to begin with.
It sucks because in the email they sent, it was said my battery was affected by the problem but I have never experienced any kind of overheating since getting the phone. I find it very hard to believe that crippling battery life and forcing me to charge it more (I was able to almost go two days without charging it once) will magically fix the alleged overheating instead of making it worse.
Thanks for the replies!
