I believe that the current OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), even if their companies go bankrupt, still won’t switch to GrapheneOS.
GrapheneOS can directly reach out to China Alibaba OEM factories to produce its own GrapheneOS devices.

I’d like to see a pluggable CPU—similar to a SIM card. When device performance falls behind, users would simply buy a CPU module compatible with the GrapheneOS motherboard and swap it in themselves.

nexusoonexus I would say that the security of Pixel devices is closely related to its integration with the SoC and being able to remove it would go against it.

duckduckduck well, the batteries are removable (or replaceable), it just takes a significant effort and skill to do. Something I believe is impossible to do with the CPU without wrecking the whole unit.

A current soc can easily be used for 10 years if its not low budget and the battery lasts that long. I mean what do you need a better CPU for ? its just a phone. No desktop replacement efforts show to be usable within the next 5 years, maybe Samsung Dex is a small exception but that just make sense to use if you only need android apps.
