wired headphones aren't working

I plugged the usb-c headphones and they are not working at all... my usb-c port is set for chargin only... is that the issue or what do I need to do??

You might want to change that setting to something like "charging only when locked". I don't think headphones will work with it set to "charging-only".

it worked this way... thanks! but doesn't that mean it's more vulnerable now... can I somehow make it less tedious or maybe some kind of option to switch or something like that?

It's not vulnerable when the state of the device is locked. That should be the state when someone unauthorized gets access to your device.

I got used to attach my USB-C headphones after unlocking. It's a price you have to pay for security.

I'd prefer the good old audio Jack.
