Thought I better follow up as previous post, as it was a bit of a "me too" type of submission...
Some points to note and observations made since then:
- stock Android 16 users are reporting similarly: a second notification is silent till former cleared from notification shade (which is a subset of my experience) - google apparently has acknowledged the problem but seems slow on the uptake to fix - I guess that means the same wait for us grapheneos users(?)
I have also confirmed and tried and checked all the settings and procedures that are meant for quick 'silly' fixes, which of course do not work (at least not for any length of time, if at all) - so I will not re-listing those more obvious checks here, as they are ubiquitous on the web.
search in settings for Use "Adaptive Connectivity" reveals a screen with a toggle. I switched this off assuming that if connected to wifi and the signal became weak, the adaptive connectivity wouldn't switch me to cellular data (and vice versa)... so as to hope to establish if the notifications issue be related to wifi or cellular (having already tried disabling each connectivity manually to no avail). POI - can't find this "Adaptive Connectivity" setting in sub menues any other way than by 'searching' for it in settings search bar(!)
Most of the time I am connected to wifi at home, so I have also tried changing randomised mac address to once (rather than every time dhcp connected). This is under privacy in each specific ssid's network settings.
None of these have worked for me (and frustratingly, reproduction of the subsequent silent notifications, also often late despite apparently good connection signals, can be annoyingly intermittent... hence the lay-research into perhaps more subtle connectivity issues, despite those good signals both with cellular and wifi paths already checked.
Anyway, hope this information is of use to someone and which might trigger a thought path towards a solution. Thanks.
