Infected Phone using Sim-Card for new device safe?

Hello, I got a new Pixel because my old one got infected.

Is it safe to use the old Sim-Card in the new phone or should I get a new one?

memyselfandi Depending on what sim you have and what country, I know where I am it is a trivial chat with a bot and they send me a new sim card... It is very likely it will be fine to use the old one, but if it is easy enough to get a new one, why take the risk?

If that's the case, you could have factory reset it and it would have been fine.

My understanding is that it should be. The baseband is isolated from the OS, so it makes sense that the SIM card wouldn't be affected.
