pixelated77 GPS has not been working consistently since updating. It sometimes work fine for no apparent reason and most of the time it just doesn't. Neither Waze nor Google Maps can find my location, checked permissions and all related settings.
ZenoZenith pixelated77 I've had the same problem with CoMaps and OrganicMap since the update, impossible to locate again.
GrapheneOS pixelated77 We determined that there was a regression for PSDS specific to the Pixel 8a which has now been resolved with a server-side workaround. Our next release will fix the issue to avoid the need for the workaround.
memyselfandi Don't know if this helps your problem, but I had the same issue on a fresh GrapheneOS 16 installation. Organic Maps was able to get a location signal, while Google Maps was not. After Organic Maps got a signal, all other Apps got the location too.
pixelated77 memyselfandi Unfortunately it didn't work. Weirdly the GPS icon keeps turning in the app but I don't see the location permission usage green dot on the top of the screen like it usually does.
memyselfandi Did you check under settings -> Apps -> Sandboxed Google Play -> Geolocation Also check the usage guide in the same settings folder.
pixelated77 memyselfandi Settings haven't changed after updating. I went back and disabled retouting requests to the OS and allowing Google play services location access all the time. Still no luck.
pixelated77 ZenoZenith it is strange, GPS is back again and I don't see why since I didn't change anything
ErnestThornhill ZenoZenith CoMaps works. You just have to give it a little bit of time to pick up your location and not be indoors the entire time while it tries to do so. It picked mine up by having "Secure User Plane Location (SUPL)" set to "Graphene proxy", Predicted Statelittle Data Service (PSDS)" set to "Graphene server" and the app's Location permission set to "Use precise location."
