Pixel 9 Pro Poor Contrast in Spellcheck Menu

I recently upgraded from the Pixel 6 to the 9 Pro and I notice that there is extremely poor contrast on the popup menu for words that underlined with the red line letting me know it isn't in the dictionary. It is nearly impossible to see the words in the list without really looking closely.

If the font color was white instead of black, this would fix the issue.

This was never an issue for me on the Pixel 6 and changing contrast in display settings makes no difference whatsoever. I've also tried 3 different keyboards but it isn't a keyboard issue.

IAMHereNow288 Even though the colors are different now, this appears to be basically the same issue as what's described here: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4223.

I used to have the white text on light grey background issue like the one in the issue I linked, but now it looks fine on my phone, so maybe AOSP tried to fix the issue.

I'm curious, do you have dark mode set to turn on and off on a schedule? Do you have dark mode on? And what happens if you toggle dark mode on then off again?

other8026 Yes, dark mode is on, and night light is set to a schedule.

Toggling dark mode off and back on again looks to solve the issue, at least temporarily. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just checked again after my phone sat for a few hours and it is back to poor contrast again. I can toggle dark mode on and off real quick but it'd certainly be nice for this issue to be resolved permanently without the workaround.
