Unable to update Messaging, Vanadium etc.

Dumdum I originally thought I'd check for a software update, but I'm not able to interact with the 'Check for updates' button in settings whatsoever. Do you know if there's a way around this? Thank you very much for your help.

cleanbowtie the "check for software updates" button just makes a silent notification appear in your notification tray, so it really does seem like it does nothing. just see if you have a new notification after pressing it

cleanbowtie you might have a pending update. You can try restarting.

Lucario1829 I don't seem to get anything. Notifications are enabled for settings and system updater too. Really not sure what is causing this.

cleanbowtie "Permitted networks: Any" is activated? Just in case you are on mobile and it's waiting for a wifi connwcrion.

cleanbowtie have you disabled the updater app or removed its network permission? Check from the owner profile in Settings > Apps > All apps > *3 dots in upper right hand corner* > show system > System Updater.

If the app isn't disabled and it still has the network permission, might you share the logs from System Updater > View logs?

How do I go about opening system updater?

cleanbowtie It's all in Settings > System > System updates. The app System Updater can't be launched as far as I know.

Again, the logs should be helpful in figuring out what the issue is.

other8026 I have gone to try and update all of the apps again and it has worked. I'm quite honestly confused why it has worked this time after multiple weeks of it not working, as the only thing I changed was enabling notifications for some system apps. Either way, this is solved now; thank you very much for your help.
