If you would like to save your battery for a long time, use the charge until to 80% with the provided option in Android.
Charging more than 80% extremely corrupts the battery and its life.
You can also use an App like AccuBattery to set an alarm for the charging threshold. I "manually" charge to maximum 70%. If overnight, then to 80% with the provided Android option. In the AccuBattery you can also see efficiently percentage depending of the charge "from to window" - these estimated data are based on the charging monitoring and scientific data about battery behavior.
You can also use Chargie (https://chargie.org/) - a very interesting device to fully control charge/recharge process.
And last but not least, if you use a 5W charger, you can also extremely save the life of your battery in compare to PD devices with fast charge modes. I personally use only 5W chargers. I use a PD charger only in "emergency" situations.
