grayway2 I think you mean good, for the sake of GOS, and that's cool.
However, you need to think about how things work in the business world (and it's cut-throat, regardless of the industry).
I own an interpreting company with my wife (an insignificant size compared to most others in the LSP industry full of uber-rich giants), and most services we use (ticketing systems, CRM, ERP, etc) are FOSS and self-hosted, and we donate to them about 30% of what they would cost us with the cheapest proprietary competition. The reason being that I'd rather have the rest of the money go to our employees as salaries and benefits, since they are the ones that keep the business running.
We are trying to shift the horrible state of affairs in this industry, where interpreters, who are the ones dealing with clients day in and day out, get treated like garbage, and paid peanuts, while the executives buy private jets and crap like that. Being the company that tries to do the right thing is one of the hardest things (and most expensive) I've done in my life, but it's also one of the most satisfying and rewarding. When you know you are a tool to give other people a better quality of life, even if it means making a little less on your end.
@DecryptMeNot I commend you and thank you for having the strength and valor to go against the current and doing the right thing for a project you believe in.
As for the GOS guys, you have been pivotal in the improvement of my mental health by allowing me to have latest gen devices that can't spy on me and I can control as I see fit, unless I do something stupid.
