Something went wrong

I have a new installation on a Pixel 7A.
When I attempted to sign in to Google Play I received the following message:

Something went wrong
You don't have a network connection.
This could be a temporary problem. Try again or connect to another Wi-Fi network.

I did try a re-install with no luck.

I do have an active and working network connection and am using Vanadium with no problems. I would appreciate any advice to help overcome this problem.

longshots I just logged into Google Play a couple of hours ago on a freshly flashed device, though probably not the same release as you since I flashed the experimental Android 16 release. Regardless, I don't think there have been any related changes. Maybe it's a VPN blocking connections to Google? Or maybe you have a DNS setup at home to block ads?

longshots Did you revoke the Network permission from Play services? If so, try allowing it.

I re-installed GOS - again, and problem fixed. What can I say?
Don't know how to mark solved...
