How do I change default messaging app?

I changed my default messaging app to QUIK from f-droid, but don't receive sms messages to it when I set it as default. when I change the default app back to the one that comes with graphene the messages come in. How do I fix this?

Any luck with this? I also tried QUIK today on a secondary profile and no messages came through. Having to use the default app which is a bit annoying since it's super old

omission I think you need to install it in owner profile too for it to work. So maybe try that? Other than that, SOL I guess. Secondary profiles weren't really designed with daily use in mind, so you'll definitely find some boundaries.

n3t_admin I tried a bunch of different setups. QUIK on both, QUIK only on secondary profile, QUIK on both but with the standard messaging app as default on Owner, nothing really worked. A shame really. I can live with that but would very much like a new messaging app

omission that's a bummer. I believe it's an AOSP limitation, honestly. Google especially doesn't care much about secondary user profiles, so this might stay unfixed for a while...
