Playstation Remote Play App causes the phone to crash after 30 minutes

So here is the issue :

on Pixel 8
GrapheneOS nstalled and updated
Google Play Services installed and updated
Google Play Store installed and updated
PS Remote Play app installed and updated

When I remote play my PS5, after around 30 minutes, main system apps start to crash : GPS, bluetooth, etc with notification and the app freezes in the background.

I can generally wait a bit and get out of the app at some point, but today it was a full crash with reboot needed.

I have checked "Exploit protection compatibility mode" for the PS Remote Play app, it didn't change a thing (made it worse since I got the crash).

Any idea what the issue could be?

de0u Good question. Not that much... Yes it got hotter but not more than when I'm streaming videos, playing games directly on the phone.
But let's take a look at the theory : why would the Pixel 8 with Graphene OS overheat when using this specific app, while it doesn't with other intensive use apps, or when my other phone (Sony Xperia 5 IV) doesn't?

I wasn't asking whether that app should overheat the device, because it shouldn't. However, something is happening that shouldn't be, so people who don't have access to the device and thus don't know which things are and aren't happening might well ask about things that shouldn't be happening.

de0u I know, I didn't said you implied it should behave like, I just went along with the theory it was overheating, which maybe it is, who knows.

I don't have experience that would shed light on that. But, again, when something is going wrong it's dubious to reason too much from things that are expected when everything is going right.

If there are lots of crash reports it might be useful to post some.

Don't think I can help but maybe profiler and app logs might give a hint.
