Wallet for GOS

Hi guys, I need your help. I've been using GOS for two years now and think it's great, but now I need a wallet to put a credit card in and use it. Can you recommend me a wallet that is good and possibly does not need any trackers and few authorizations?

Hallo Leute, ich brauche eure Hilfe. Ich benutze GOS jetzt zwei Jahre und finde es super aber nun brauche ich doch mal ein Wallet um eine Kreditkarte dort reinzulegen und zu benutzen. Könnt ihr mir ein Wallet empfehlen, welches gut ist und evt. keine Tracker und wenig Berechtigungen braucht ?

joeconny Looks like there's no good solution yet. Some users use Curve, some use national banks' NFC payment capabilities. Check if maybe Paypal offers mobile payments wherever you are (DE/AT/CH)?

joeconny If you have a Garmin watch you might have the option to you Garmin Pay.

I've been using it as a replacement for Google Wallet and it has worked well

no, I don't have a Garmin watch and I don't want to use Google Wallet either, but this wallet only has two trackers but also 32 authorizations. Can Google actually access the wallet ?????

Thanks for the reply, that's a shame even if I wouldn't use the wallet often, but curve has 8 trackers and too many permissions, nope I don't use that. I no longer use PayPal for certain reasons. Well, I'll have to wait a bit longer with the anonymous credit card, unfortunately.

joeconny so you might want Garmin watch for payments on the go (this is what I use with Revolut as well). You can also use Garmin watch with curve confined to its separate, dedicated profile with nothing else in it. Oh, also Samsung Pay or any other watch would work; I didn't test it.

And well, Google Wallet doesn't work with payment cards (won't let you pay on GOS), so there's little reason to have it (other functionalities reportedly work).

chinook Okay, yes I would create a separate profile for a wallet. I'll take another look at Curve.
Did you get your Revolut app from the Auro Store? I had a problem with the Swissquote app, I couldn't start it because it wasn't from the G-Store!

joeconny I don't like curve for reasons (I don't have it now) but I concede it's probably better choice than Revolut. As you're based in EU you can also look at this bank: https://n26.com/en-eu/garmin-pay

I installed Revolut from the Google Play Store, works okay now (we had issues but the developers fixed them). Aurora store works, but we generally do not recommend it due to some concerns regarding their security model (this is not to say that it's a bad choice, but Sandboxed Google Play seems better)

I'm afraid Swissquote won't work :(

You have a few options.

Garmin Pay (requires compatible watch).
Google pay via a smart watch like the Pixel Watch.
Curve Pay (Only works in UK/EEA for now I believe).
If you're lucky, you're bank may have their own contactless payment system.
Case and then put the card inside it, as long as theres nothing to block RFID / NFC (basically just plastic) it should work.

I was able to get Samsung Pay on a Watch 7 to work (tap to pay). It took a few tries as apps kept crashing, but once set up it's been good to go. Works even if the watch isn't near the phone.

There very well might be a solution soon. PayPal has started rolling out a virtual wallet like google pay to users in Germany , hopefully it will come to the US soon.
