Orbot suddenly stops starting.

Hi, it's me again:

Over the last months, I used Rethink DNS on my graphene-Pixel in combination with orbot as a tor proxy, everything went fine, incl. autostart etc. So I had running all apps via Tor, which gives me a sense of comfort.
Since the last update from Fdroid (version 17.5.0), Orbot simply refuses to start AT ALL. Pressing the connect-button has no effect, autostart does not work any longer. ReThink still running fine, but without orbot.
I already checked several possible reasons (cache, complete reinstall etc.), no success so far. GOS is on the latest stable version 2025062000.

granx Check if you have MTE protection enabled for Orbot. If so, Orbot will be killed. I personally use TorVPN, but that is a test (dev) version.

Thanks for the answer, do you mean "memory tagging"? This is disabled, also Exploit protection compatibility mode is off (as it was in the months before). I switched it on experimentally, but no results.
