I have a similar issue with my 6a, but checked the imei on an old account and said it was not eligible probably because I didnt buy through google.
Has anyone been able to get a free battery replacement that did not buy the phone from google store originally? If so, what were all the hoops you had to jump through and any advice for the rest of us? Sounds like it will involve challenging their rejection with proof of original purchase, and backing up and resetting the phone at a minimum?
I recently learned the store Batteries+ in the USA will do 6a battery replacements for <$100, cheaper than buying a new phone, but dont know anyone that has used them so not sure if going back to stock in needed.
