btn77 ruin all privacy
On the stock OS and on AOSP, Private Space only works in the owner profile. Apps that aren't installed in the owner profile also show up in Settings > Apps > All apps.
btn77 make private space useless
I disagree. Private Space still allows users to do many things. I'd say the most important ones that I can think of are:
- You can run the same app in the parent profile and Private Space, but with different logins, setups, etc.
- Apps in Private Space cannot communicate with apps in the parent profile.
- Apps can be put to rest when Private Space is locked (if I remember correctly this is a GrapheneOS change).
- Optionally can restrict clipboard contents from being shared to or from Private Space and the parent profile.
btn77 When they plan fix it?
Fix? I'm not sure anything is broken. Also, Private Space is not a GrapheneOS feature, it's an AOSP feature. I'd expect them to make these kinds of changes.
I suppose GrapheneOS could also make those changes, but as I already pointed out all apps are listed in Settings in the owner profile. Maybe changing how the search behaves makes more sense now that Private Space can be used from secondary user profiles (secondary user profiles can't see all installed apps in Settings), but I believe GrapheneOS developers have much higher priority things to work on.
btn77 I can donate for it
You can donate if you want, but there's no setup where people who make donations can ask for certain features or for the project to prioritize certain things. Too many things can go wrong with that kind of setup, for example the project implements a requested feature the way they think is best and the person who donated disagrees with the project's approach. That or people donating and asking the developers to work on things that the project wouldn't normally prioritize. One of the reasons GrapheneOS has done so well is because the project has been smart about what has been prioritized in the past. Letting people with money change that could be very disruptive and damaging.
btn77 Who have some connection with admins? Lets promote this question
I'd like to point out that people involved in the project already know about Private Space apps showing up in search results. I don't know how the developers have responded in the past and what I said above is my personal take.
I can't imagine the developers will prioritize working on not listing Private Space apps in search results. I think if the way searches work were to change, either AOSP would change it or someone can do the work themself and submit a PR. If the change meets the project's requirements, then it may be added. But I'd also point out that these kinds of changes may be a lot more complicated than you may think. Keep in mind that any change would have to play well with other launchers and probably have to be optional.
