morgan77 What about all of the other apps like socials and what not... how do you install them then???
I use myself as an example : I use Accrescent whenever I can to download applications, it's my preferred method and you can get it in App Store provided by GrapheneOS, Accrescent is a modern store focused on security, privacy and usability that aims to become an open-source alternative to the Google play store without the need for an account, it guarantees you're using the right application and not a counterfeit one.
Contrary to some misunderstandings, Accrescent's aim is not to provide only open-source but also proprietary applications, and Accrescent doesn't care whether the application you're using uses a form of tracking like telemetry or not, you trust the developers of the applications you're using, which doesn't mean it's invasive, telemetry can be useful for tracking issues and certain usage statistics.
If the application isn't available on Accrescent, I use Obtainium where I import .apk files from platforms like Github and Gitlab. There's an option to search for updates automatically.
And as a third option, I use Sandboxed Google play.
Aurora is not useful since you can use Sandboxed google play, and F-Droid is not recommended even though many use it, they have anti-security practices and are very hostile towards GrapheneOS.
morgan77 I wanna use the system effectively but also so it will be convenient... I don't think to use profiles all that much, maybe for some specific and rare cases I don't even know what yet
Take your time and there really isn't “one” way to use GOS effectively, everyone has different needs, profiles and private space are cool, but not mandatory and you'll always be using a mobile operating system that's both simple to use and greatly enhances security and privacy.
