I have a youtube addiction and keep getting pulled in to watching garbage shorts. Any help on setting up a firewall blocking yt completely?
I heard something about setting up opendns but couldnt get it to work.

    Musty you can delete the youtube app and watch in browser if you're sent a link or want to watch a video. you can keep up with subscriptions via rss reader.

      Musty do you have a google account?
      i do and when you disable youtube history in your google account, you automatically cant watch shorts anymore in the app.

      (shorts tab wont work anymore, and when you search for shorts you can only watch a few until it stops working)

        If you are using YouTube app with google account you can try @dhhdjbd method or maybe use Newpipe app? (which doesn't have separate section for youtube shorts)
