I have had the problem for 3 weeks now that my Pixel 9 charges more than 80%, I always have to monitor that it no longer charges because in the long run this also goes on the battery, I have done everything. I have charged the smartphone several times up to 100% but it has done nothing, the option is always on in the settings that it should only charge up to 80%
Charging optimization (80% charge limit) won't work anymore
When you charge it to 100%, does the shield icon appear in front of the battery ? Until this happens, the battery is not optimized.
You should leave it plugged in on the charger until the shield icon appears

Rooouug We published an announcement explaining it at https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/20620-charging-optimization-80-charge-limit-recalibration-with-android-15-qpr2. You're stopping before it's fully charged and therefore not letting it recalibrate and start enforcing the 80% limit again. You need to wait for the shield icon to appear over the battery charge icon in the status bar which it will show elsewhere too.
