I have an Owner profile to install apps, and a daily profile, like some guides suggest.
However, I installed Quik SMS messenger app to my daily profile, and missed a whole days of sms. It simply didn't arrive in Quik, but did in the stock app on the Owner profile. I had the owner notifications off, so didn't know.
Anyone else run into this issue, and how to solve?
Does the owner profile also must be using Quik?

Another problem right now - I just switched both profiles back to the default SMS app - but unlike the owner profile, the notifications in the main daily profile are silent. No sounds, vibration, and the text content in the notification is hidden. Why, this is utterly frustrating now.

I tried toggling notication settings for a contact, silent back to normal, ect. I also added a contact, and now after adding a new contact, my Signal app is infinite loop crashing. Turned off contact permission, still crashing. Idk if this is related, but sad, graphene is frustrating so far.

        Known limitation of AOSP apparently.

Then do what the project is saying and don't follow some guides. Use te phone like you'd normally be doing. Use owner profile as your daily, utilize private space until you understand some of the potential rough edges you may encounter when using the phone as 'content creators' show on YT..

I think the answer is obvious, bin the Quik app. Use the GrapheneOS app, its not pretty but it works.
          Function over form every time...

0xsigsev can't blame a guy for trying to scratch the itch of a secure setup.

area51 The Quik app works fine in the owner profile, so I may just move to one profile.

            Thanks ya'll

Security is non-existent without usability. By all means you should aim for a secure setup. But one that is tailored for you not just because someone said it's secure.
