Anyone having issues with installing Google Play Services?

I just bought a Pixel 7 phone and I am trying to setup Google Play Services on it.

I had setup several user profiles and some of them had it, but my main profile didn't. Now, I am trying to install it on the main profile and it am getting an error of "app corrupted" can't install.

Google Services Framework and the Google Play Store installs just fine, but I can't get Google Play Services to install.

I have tried reboots, uninstalling and re-installing clearing the app cache and app storage. Nothing has worked so far.

One thing i did notice. When downloading it slowly gets to about 48mbs of the 110mbs, then jumps all the way to 110mbs and pops up the error.
I assume that this is an actual corruption on downloading, but is this the Store issue or is it something to do with the mirror that it is getting from or just me?

Any help would be great!

The "issue" here is that you have a newer version of Google Play Services in one profile than the one currently being served by the "Apps" app.

Android doesn't allow you to install previous versions of an app that you have installed for security reasons. This applies across profiles, as @GrapheneOS explained above.

You were able to install the app from the beta channel, as that would be the same version that you already had in your other profiles.

I'm glad to hear you were able to get this sorted out.

FYI - I was able to use the "Beta" channel for the app and install that way. But I am still wondering if anyone else is having issues.

bobmeettomato are you installing them from that App app of GrapheneOS or from somewhere else?

This is expected and the standard way that package installation works on Android. You have the newer Play services installed in a different profile so you can't install an older version in a new profile. This is how things work for every app on Android. When an app is installed in an initial profile, the packages are installed to the global package registry. When an app is installed in a second profile, that's really an upgrade attempt for the global install along with marking it installed in the new profile. You can use the "Install available apps" feature from the Owner user to save time by marking the app installed in another user without downloading and upgrading it.
