DJI Fly App Crashes When Location Permissions Are Enabled

i have same issue when i turn on location my app crash, when you turn off location app is not crash but you cannot use it, i have that bug already 2 month they never fix, i send 10 video proof, they dont wanna fix... its system bug not app fault

Hi, Pixel 9 Pro user here and same problem. Tried everything, I think i'll have to return to Android in some device.

GrapheneOS I'm going to buy the Google Pixel 8a, but since I see that the DJI Fly App in GOS is not working correctly, I'll wait for this to be fixed (or so I hope). From what I've seen, it seems that the GLSS settings in the app itself don't connect well with GOS's GPS services.

Chriss22 That's not correct. Earlier, we confirmed the app's crash bug happened on Android 15 QPR2 in general, including outside of GrapheneOS. It was happening on the stock Pixel OS. That hasn't been checked recently but it was confirmed by our team that this was not specific to GrapheneOS but rather an app bug due to the app not testing on current Android releases. Non-Pixel devices only ship a yearly release and then monthly security backports, not the monthly and quarterly releases of Android. Android 15 QPR2 is the current major version of Android, the 2nd quarterly release. The latest release of Android 15 QPR2 is the May monthly update.

Same problem here with a Pixel 9, Graphene 2025060200 (Android 15) and DJI Fly 1.17.1 and also DJI Mimo 2.2.12
I tried :

Exploit protection compatibility mode ON/OFF > app crash at start
Remove all autorisations : app launch OK
Allow position autorisation only : app launch OK
Allow storage autorisations : app crash instantly (With Storage Scope ON or OFF)
If it can help...

i have same issue i have 8A but i got answer from DJI, but i used before started crashing app. LOL.

For me the latest update didnt work. After a quick live chat with the support they told me the problem is known and should be fixed in the next release of the DJI Fly app.
Until then they gave me a alternative APK which seems to work so far on my GOS Pixel 9 Pro:
