screen goes to sleep when entering password

I have a pixel 7 on the 2025030900 release. I have been running into this issue where, sometimes when I am forced to enter my password, usually because the fingerprint + PIN unlock fails, the screen will go to sleep midway through me typing the password on the first attempt. This results in having to wake the screen. The lock screen will have a light gray box overlay on it until I tap again to re-enter the password. 2nd try then works like normal.

Been happening for the last few releases. Its really just a minor inconvenience but was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issue.

I occasionally encounter this with my 6a, but it has been over several releases, I just put it down to my phone being in BFU, so I assume, it enforces the screen off. It is no big deal to press the power button or tap the screen and start again, even with my 14 digit password!

Here too. Still have problems with insert my 30 digit password. Sometimes i need to insert it 3 Times and more....

I have the same problem on a pixel 8a. Sometimes the password field is not even focused, so i am halfway through typing my password until i notice that it didn't even input it.
