Loss of esim access

It may have occurred at a similar time to the last update. Running pixel8 with stable GOS build. Physical Sim card works fine, eSim support is checked, but when I try to enable the esim it asks to set my preferences, then after a while of spinning, it goes back to the esim not being enabled. Was working great, by not now. Any idea how to get it back? Dual Sim is quite important to me.

Trebuchet2001 Might there be anything blocking network access while the eSIM activation process is trying to run? Perhaps an ad blocker or a VPN whose exit nodes are being filtered by the carrier?

Not that I know of. In about phone, Sim 2 status is greyed out, but there is an IMEI number for it. Is it going to be a factory reset and start again?

It couldn't be something to do with the carrier could it? GiffGaff (uk). It's been working perfectly since Christmas until about yesterday.

I wouldn't know where to look in the logs for a clue.

First I would try replacing the wSIM via your carrier.

Is "Enable DSDS" on in "Phone Information"? That is mentioned in the usage guide, which hopefully is being consulted.

Final note on this thread, if for no other reason than to help future me and anyone else who has the same problem.

Replacing the esim worked. (Replacing via the GiffGaff app worked perfectly.)
