This happened last night. I bought a renewed Pixel 7 Pro off Amazon and loaded it with GrapheneOS, and have been using the phone for a week.

This black band or screen issue persists after a reboot but doesn't show itself until roughly 10 minutes. On the right side/bevel of the screen, there is a bright teal/green light line that starts to show up before the screen bugs out and "reverts" to this.

I haven't dropped the phone, though I do think it's something to do with previous unseen damage to the screen with it being renewed.

I did read up that GOS has had flickering issues in the past, though I couldn't find anything on the latest stable build.

What do you guys think this could be? Is this screen damage or software issues?

PodiumPilot Is this screen damage or software issues?

Most likely screen damage. But flashing it back to Google's stock OS and using it for a couple of days would shed light on the issue.

de0u When I racked my brain, I remembered the phone was quite warm in my hand when it happened, as well as having the night light feature active on sundown to sunrise. Now that it's cool and the night light feature is off, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

I will try flashing it back to stock tomorrow.
