My pixel 6 and 7 phone password not working after yesterday update!!!

I have some questions. I may have misread what you've said, I apologize.

You said you've used this password for almost 2 years. Did you use this password regularly enough that you're 100% certain you can remember it? I've had passwords that I've been using for a decade but I use them very rarely, and sometimes it's hard to remember.
Are you certain you updated your phone yesterday? As GrapheneOS said, there hasn't been an update on the stable update channel in weeks. In addition to this, you mentioned you have 2 phones? This might indicate you don't use your phone often, therefore see the above question (you might've forgotten your password).
What were you doing on your phone prior to being locked out? Did you install some sketchy software? Did you (and I have to ask this) change your password?
Assuming you have 2 phones that are both pixels - might you be trying to accessing the wrong phone?

I'm just addressing the low hanging fruit here (the most obvious stuff).

locked I am asking OP this question as there has been a user in the past who locked themselves out by switching to a non-default keyboard and disabling the default keyboard (likely via ADB).

The keyboard is functioning to let you enter your password, correct?

Try side loading the current release?

You didn't even have to disable the default keyboard.

If you had Fossify Keyboard active when you restarted the phone it was impossible to either enter the password or switch the keyboard.

To get around it you had to boot into safe mode (maybe, I just factory reset when it happened to me).
