My pixel 6 and 7 phone password not working after yesterday update!!!

My passwords for both my grapheneos phones are not working after yesterdays auto update !!! URGENT please someone help me . I did not change the password nor did I forget it , I have been using the same passwords for 1.5-2 years!!

Purple7776 It's not related to an OS update. There also hasn't been an OS update for the Stable channel for weeks if you're using Stable.

Was it on a secondary profile?
In my case I have that on a secondary profile, after I fill in the password it does not open.

After that I lock the screen, then unlock it again, and it will work after filling in the password again.
Perhaps you could try that first?

Sorry, it doesn't help OP - but sometimes I get the same error - only in secondary profiles. Usually locking screen or end session is enough, once only a restart helped.

Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint the error (except that I don't enter my password incorrectly several times) - based on my gut feeling, I would say that the keyboard (I only use the AOSP standard keyboard) is somewhat laggy and this results in an input error.

On a secondary profile, if you have numbers in your password, they are not recognized, that is, when you type numbers, they are not inputted as part of the password. Re-locking the phone, and typing password again resolves the issue. I have this problem more often than not,.... It's been ongoing for many months now.

It seems to happen on several devices, (In my case both the Pixel 6a, 7 and Tablet) but for me personally it isn't a big deal, I just lock, unlock and type the password. (You don't have to type it first before the initial locking, so that saves some effort. So just once will do after reopening the lockscreen again)
But indeed, it has been going on for several months, and does not seem related to the most recent updates, if any.

I have some questions. I may have misread what you've said, I apologize.

You said you've used this password for almost 2 years. Did you use this password regularly enough that you're 100% certain you can remember it? I've had passwords that I've been using for a decade but I use them very rarely, and sometimes it's hard to remember.
Are you certain you updated your phone yesterday? As GrapheneOS said, there hasn't been an update on the stable update channel in weeks. In addition to this, you mentioned you have 2 phones? This might indicate you don't use your phone often, therefore see the above question (you might've forgotten your password).
What were you doing on your phone prior to being locked out? Did you install some sketchy software? Did you (and I have to ask this) change your password?
Assuming you have 2 phones that are both pixels - might you be trying to accessing the wrong phone?

I'm just addressing the low hanging fruit here (the most obvious stuff).
