So I bit the bullet and got a new phone. So far I've been loving every single improvement the 8 pro to the 6 pro except one major one, the hotspot just abruptly stopped working. I found multiple people on reddit having the same issue with hotspot/Bluetooth. Basically I click the enable hotspot, it attempts to turn on then shuts off. Bluetooth tethering option does a similar dance. Is there a fix to this? The only workaround I found so far was to disable 5g use LTE only reboot phone and then the hotspot works upon reboot, and stays on if I switch it to 5g while its already on, but will not turn back on afterwards if it goes off.
Pixel 8 Pro Hotspot Not Working
Some1Somewhere os version?
Upstate1618 should be current, not sure where to see this exactly.
You can find the information under Settings>About Phone> Build Number
2025021100 os version. also as an update when the hotspot fails bluetooth fails also if that info helps. the only way to make it work currently is if i do a fresh reboot on LTE only. if i go off the main profile it and go back without tapping enable hotspot/bluetooth it will not work anymore
i also have a crash log if any admin cares to pick this up
